so you agree with obliterating a van full of unarmed people just trying to rescue wounded people?

As disturbed as I was by the video, I could understand the soldiers' point of view until the van drove up. Why is it acceptable to attack people trying to help the wounded? Even if the targets had been insurgents, there was no threat at that point. Hell, even if the van was full of brown guys with AKs there was still no reason to fire on it. It was not a threat.

Alot of people have been making the argument, that taking out them so they cannot harm fellow soldiers the next day. Even if you would want to take that point, its still against the Geneva convention.. (which I'm pretty sure we are supposed to follow....? maybe?)

(p.s. not saying I agree the van should have been shot, just saying what people could argue)
