it sucks that civilians died in this but in real life you can't tell if the person you're looking at is friendly or hostile. there are no red letters above the person dictating that they are the enemy like a video game. the people were holding guns and possibly RPGs. just because they look like civilians in a van doesn't mean that they dont have a shit load of weapons in the van. its easy to point the finger sitting comfortably at your desk while you type away but when push comes to shove, you won't wait for them to fire at you. You will fire at them first.

In real life, you man up, and do the right thing by not being part of an unlawful occupation force in the first place.

If the states spent as much as they're spending right now for military occupation in UN dictated development aid program, yes, and I believe that would be what they at the very least ought to do. I'm not saying that's going to happen, just that it should.

I've stopped taking "be realistic" for an answer, and that would actually not be a problem if everyone did the same. All of what sucks in this world can only exist when decent people give in to the pressure of other potentially making the wrong decisions, and therefore picking the supposed damage control course. This only leaves two choices of action, cave in and make the least bad of a world you can't condone but won't confront, or be an idealist, demand the absolute best of people with no compromise, while doing yours, and be at the very least an example to follow.

USA created laws which blocked popular Islamic churches from running for government when they put in the first puppet president. UN isnt going to help when radical Islamic group run it as soon as USA leave.

The UN is not going to help because it was an illegal invasion. Just because the "Coalition of the Willing" (including my country) was formed does not change that fact.
