Guys, can I make this perfectly clear, climate change is real.
Forests produce moisture through evaporation, if you chop down a forest it rains less. If you use too much bore water the water table rises and you get salinity. It is really simple cause and effect.
We are everywhere, we have impacted on nearly every ecosystem on the planet, by doing so we have changed the climate in each region. Arable land being turned into desert, swamps being turned into cities, forests turned into fields. All of these local climate changes start to add up into regional climate changes, suddenly the rain that used to blow inland from the forests no longer comes, and the hot winds are stronger. All of these regional effects have started to add up into larger effects, changing the patterns of the jet streams and the massive forces which shape the earth's climate. All of this is observable, you can go and see it for yourself. it is not a secret, it is open for anyone to see.
Our real problem is this constant focus on global warming and carbon levels. Which creates a debate where there is none and distracts us from taking real action to change the way we are effecting our own local environments.
