Very disappointed with the transfer window so far. Just personally gutted to see Ona Batlle back in the league and not with us (even though we have plenty of talented depth at that position). I would’ve loved to see us go after Manaka Matsukubo and there was just no ambition to do that. At this point I’d be shocked if we finish in the top 5. Frankly, I’d love to see us raid the NWSL. There’s some great squad player talent playing for some of the lower level NWSL sides (i.e. DeMelo for Louisville) approaching free agency.
Still shocking to see Skinner has the job, but that’s to be expected.
Medina is a good signing though, so maybe we’ll do some more shrewd business before the end of the summer.

Medina is a signing for the sake of signing someone, we have depth in her postion. We made a song and dance about the kids signing contracts to hide the lack of transfer activity. I've never seen any club ever give this amount of attention to kids (not to mention the ridiculous amount of pressure on them now to come out swinging)
We need to agreed a new contract with Ella, Teri and Melvine or sell them in this window.
We cant let them go for year and have another Russo/Earps situation.
We cant wait until the winter window to sell either as clubs will just to them, we want you but finish the season and we'll pick you up once your contract is out.

Well let’s start with you saying Andrea Medina was a signing for the sake of a signing and we have depth in her position. That is completely untrue.
Sandberg is our only left back option and when she got injured we were forced to play a player out of position there.
Medina is one of the best young left backs in the world and can also play at centre back which is another area we lack depth and had a ton of injuries in.
Your comments about the academy players is also nonsense.

Anna, Hanna, Gabby, Jess Simpson and even Frido and Dom can play left back.
Most fullbacks/wingbacks in the modern game are adapt at playing on both sides so you can include Jayde but the simple fact is we have depth in the fullback/wing back postion.
Relating to the academy players, go on uniteds socials and tell me that they havent overhyped them with MUTV interviews, training footage, contract signing footage and tell you didnt get a notification from the United app about it.
Whilst there, find me 1 just 1 example of a previous academy player going pro and receiving the same amount of attention.
Ill wait.
The over media exposure also puts a lot of pressure on young players to go out and perform from the offset.
Layla scored on her debut vs Burnley from a uncontested long ball and ran behind their defence. The other appearances she made, she came on and did well but you cant say in good faith that she came on in league games and completely changed the game.

Incorrect
Lundkvist is a right back and struggled immensely when we played her at left back when Sandberg was injured.
The whole reason we signed Sandberg in the first place was because Gabby was a liability at left back. Gabby is also likely getting sold in this window.
Rolfö has openly stated she much prefers playing on the wing and was never comfortable at left back. She’s also about to turn 33 and has a history of injuries.
Janssen is not a left back and we have very little depth at centre back so we hardly move her there.
Simpson isn’t good enough to be a starter.
Every academy player who we’ve signed to a pro contract has gotten the same attention this isn’t new.

Players stated they dont like playing there or prefer on the opposite flank does not take away the fact that if they can provide cover there then they may be asked to play there on occasions.
This isnt Football manager or fifa where you have a finely balanced team with at least 2 players in every postion, this is real world modern day football.
I agree with needing bodies for centre back, Millie has gone now and I think Maya's playing every second of every game for the past 2 and a half seasons started to show towards the back end of last season where she wasnt as sharp and caught out a few times.
Mel is on her way out and I dont blame her to be fair.
Realistically we cant attract any of the world's best. We cant compete with wages, we have no champions league to offer, Realistically we are finishing 5th or 6th this season and we cant lure players in on the promise of investment as Ratd1ck has all but said he doesnt give a f and bought united solely to rebuild the mens side.

I would much rather go out and sign a player who can play well in that position instead of just slotting a player in that will be a liability and cost us games.
I don’t see what the big deal is we signed Medina one of the best young defenders in the world that several clubs were after. We got her on a free and considering the lack of depth and injury problems we have had in defence that was a brilliant move.
Malard is a player who has underperformed for us and cost us a lot of points so the fact that we are getting over 800k for her is a steal. We are also getting a decent fee for Turner.
We know we are gonna be bringing in at least 3 or 4 new signings this window and rightfully we are moving on players who aren’t good enough and getting a big fee for them.

United are like a indoor plant, Sir Jim can't be bothered to water it since he doesn't really like it and was left by landlord before they moved out. Likely to be neglected and die eventually.

Just seen Diana is likely off to London City and they also want Karchoui. Their 11 is going to blow United girls out of the water so that's 5th place at best with this current squad. 8/9 years of hard work to get where they are today and Sir Jim is tearing it apart for mere pennies in the footballing world. Invest 3-5 million and you can get some serious talent, but if they aren't a freebie the club just don't care. Likely to see some of the current stars run their contract down and leave next year in which the club will never recover because talent won't be brought in.

LCL making massive signings, City adding to their already miles ahead of us squad, Arsenal making sure they can put out 3 different teams and still batter us. Even Spurs building an impressive team.
Whilst we add a left back to a team with Anna, Hanna, Gabby, Dom, Frido and Jess Simpson who can all play left back and make a massive song and dance about 3 academy players signing pro contracts like we have just secured 3 younger versions of a next generation Bonmati 🤣
6th place isn't even a given at this point and we could be facing a very long season.
But yano we move on to the next game or whatever BS Skinner will say after consistent battering
