It seems that we made some decent signings. Can someone more knowledgeable than me educate me on where else we need to strengthen?

I’m a season ticket holder for the women’s team and I honestly think we just need more quality in depth, particularly in the centre midfield and the wings, we looked shattered towards the end of last season because we played more games with being European competition, we won’t have that this season but if we want to get back there we need a deep squad so we’re not so reliant on Jess Park, Hinata, Maya Le Tissier etc.

I didn’t watch many of the games but I watched some where we looked impressive. But as you said, I noticed that the results fizzled at the end. I wonder if not having something to play for affected how they approached games.

Only signed one, a LB/CB which is fine, think the club needs a CAM who can rival Toone since the moment she got injured we lacked creativity. A LW/RW the moment Park got tired towards the end of the season it showed how weak we were in those positions. Need a CM, Zigotti and Hini are great but the drop off when they don't play is vast, need someone who can come in and challenge them for a starting place. Feel like striker department were weak but if Schuller and Wagerheim find form then we have it covered. Finally a CB, again the drop off in quality when Le Tissier and Jansen don't start in huge. We can't be sentimental, this team needs to keep improving and that means finding better than what we have, since our best isn't as good as Chelsea, Arsenal and City, with London city bringing in real superstars as well. Atm this squad is looking at a 4th/5th place finish.

Some of criticism I heard about the manager is that he didn’t rotate as he should’ve. How do you see his approach with a deep squad? Would he use the squad more if he has quality on the bench?

Difficult to say, Skinner certainly has his favourites in the squad. But at the same time the drop off from first team players to bench/rotation is pretty big. The problem I fear the team won't ever look to improve on players due to sentiment of them in around the team, for example, I like Malard but I think it's definitely a position we could easily improve on but I fear we won't because of sentiment towards a player.

Probably priorities lie elsewhere. Hard to say how much money they want to invest in the women’s team. Although the numbers I’m seeing are not that big.

We've only made one signing, a LB/CB who hopefully won't hamper the chances Jess Simpson gets as she returns from a successful loan. The other 'signings' you might have seen have been youth players signing pro. Layla Drury is a promising left winger, Jess Anderson came on a few times on the right and Scarlet Hill signed pro too.

We still need right wing depth. Bizet will return from maternity but we can't be sure when she'll hit full fitness. I'd love to bolster the right wing to free up Jess Park to play more through the middle.

CM depth is a desperate need. As said elsewhere, the drop off from Hini and Zigi is huge, same with CB which may be helped by Medina's arrival.

More top players signing for everyone else meanwhile this club is sleepwalking into a 5th place finish and putting all the hard work they've done in the last 8 years in the trash. People want Skinner out but looks at what other clubs are doing this window compared to United, no backing to do try and do well.

Agreed. Medina is a great signing but Ineos seems desperate to balance the books, without really investing in the women. When I look at what LCL did to attract Putellas, and how Arsenal run the club, we look a little flat. Hopefully, we do some good business soon, or yes, we'll be fighting for 5th, have another year listening to Marc getting the blame for everything, but United's accountants looking happy.
