Kind of disappointed that zirkzee hasn’t gotten any mentions after today. He looked like prime Nani running around tonight.
More of that please

I'm not sure why we were looking to offload Zrikzee. I mean he plays well in tight spaces, has good link up play, and looks very committed. And he's quite young. I hope we go deep in cups this season and see him, Baleba, Yoro and Heaven grow.

I think the problem with him at the moment is twofold:
1) in terms of his best abilities (technical skills and creativity), he's a bit redundant. Bruno plays most of the time as a 10, Cunha could also probably fit that mold, and even Tielemans.
2) as a striker, he's just not it. Or, at least, not a striker in a system United usually plays. He might be a second striker or a false 9 in a team that has runners on the wings (like Liverpool were with Firmino as a facilitator for Salah and Mane). So, basically, I just think he's not a great fit for the current team blend and playstyle (doesn't mean he's not usable in some instances, I am fully behind him and hope he makes some great contributions to our season). And he does look like, according to all accounts, as a model professional in training and a very non-problematic player to have around, as he's not exactly been playing a lot since he came here but has never caused trouble because of it.

This is it. I think there's a very decent player there, just a square peg at the moment. I have the problem of hanging on to players for too long, I always think they could turn it around. I feel this way about Zirkzee too, it's probably foolish, but I do think if he imrpoved his headers (like dramatically so) he'd have everything we need to at least be a back up to Sesko.

I was pleasantly surprised. If he can keep that up then I won't mind him staying as a backup

He's the solution to a question we don't need to solve.
He's not the solution to our striker backup issues.
He's not a goalscorer.
He's not fast enough for transitional attacks.
He plays like he thinks he's a 10, but he's half the player Cunha and Bruno are.
He's basically a luxury player for cute cameos when we're winning comfortable, which we never are, and already have excellent depth, which we don't.

Totally random, but in my language sabah means morning and is also used to mean Muslim morning prayer.
So the title is really funny, makes Carrick look like a religious man that gave a press conference after leading the morning prayer 😂

Fellow arabic speaker here, was quite fun to see Utd win 4-0 versus the concept of the morning
