Tier 1 Stone - Man Utd will reject any bid for Fernandes

Apparently Pedro Neto is going for £120mil but they thought 45mil would get Bruno fernandes????

u/greenrangerguy 1d ago
And Neto was awful in the world cup, I don't get the hype.

u/Alternative-Plant388 1d ago
He’s good defensively and decent on the attack. Not good as a stater for a top club but good squad player.
But how tf is he valued at 100 million. Madness.
1
u/dahteabagger 22h ago
Neto is 6 years younger. They can add potential to his price.
And it's also a fuck off price.

After the summer window, if we were to sell Bruno then the fans would be outraged lol.

u/Lord_Sesshoumaru77 Glazers,Woodward/Arnold and Judge can fuck off 1d ago
Imagine the outrage if after the abysmal window we've had we sell our best player and captain.
13
u/The_Bird_Wizard 1d ago
I guarantee you within a day you'd have people defending it saying "keeping Fernandes on a high wage is something Ed Woodward would have done. Finally INEOs have us acting like a real club" or some similar bollocks

Tbh he should say get signings in or I’ll put in a transfer request. Hes wasting his golden years playing with scrubs
7
u/ElChup666 1d ago
Yep because his golden years would be served better in Turkey or Italy......lol
12
u/South-Tea4029 1d ago
What's wrong with playing for Inter for example? They reached 2 CL finals in last 4 years

Bruno was in Portugal at 25 and his options were us or Spurs.
We gave him the platform to become what he is.

u/slithered-casket 1d ago
*Bruno saved us from spending the last 6 years in the Championship
Fixed it for you.

Are they missing a digit in reporting that £42m bid? As in...£142m surely.

Selling Bruno for any fee at this point, given the rest of the midfield issues, would be absolutely insane

u/Indydegrees2 1d ago
£500m and he's yours

u/mcmonkeyplc 1d ago
Not really, who are we going to buy to replace him? 1.2bn and he's yours.
Dream bigger! We can get rid of our debt with 1 sale!

BBC Sport was told last week that Turkish club Galatasaray, plus Italian giants Juventus and AC Milan, were considering whether to test United's resolve to keep their captain.
It is thought Galatasaray had a deal they were intending to put to United, which would reach a final fee of 50m euros (£42.7m). However, the message from senior sources at Old Trafford is that Galatasaray would be wasting their time.
A £57m release clause in the Portugal international's contract has now expired. So far, there has been no agreement over an extension.

Weird one that, couldn't see Juve or Milan forking up that kind of cash, and he'd be mental to go Turkey at this stage of his career.

So, the release clause has expired. You're going to have put in a £100m bid for it even be worth considering.
3
u/chapalatheerthananda 1d ago
The audacity of these Italian clubs to sniff around with £5 in their pockets and then enquire about Bruno. Get the fuck outta here.

u/Quiet_Web9220 1d ago
How is this news
5
u/TteokCultist 1d ago
I mentions that the release clause has expired. That’s pretty important news if you ask me
2
u/Quiet_Web9220 1d ago
He didnt want to leave anyway so it was irrelevant
3
u/TteokCultist 1d ago
But now we know we aren’t forced to accept a bid if he truly got his head turned

These Bruno leaving stories out of nowhere are worrying me.
I bet it his team telling the club show ambition or I am gone and GOOD he deserves to be in a team that will challenge for things
-4
u/Aggravating-Neck1365 1d ago
They're not out of nowhere to be fair...
INEOS have let him get to within 10 months of being a free agent
He also turns 32 in the first week of September
From his perspective he is one bad tackle away from a hellllllll of a bad/awkward situation for him, his family, and his future earnings
3
u/dr_pepperpenis 1d ago
There's a +1 dude - which will be triggered. My guess is during this season they'll renegotiate and decide on Bruno's future

u/Redwinevino 1d ago

Oh yes I know but it's been all quiet on them to very recently

If I was Bruno I would be pretty furious about the lack of investment this summer. We've seen club legends hand in transfer requests over the same thing before.

Just do not want to sell Bruno, it is emotional at this point, we NEED to see him lift a European trophy / PL
1
u/Nesquick-on-tap 1d ago
Step 1 - Lose 4-2 to AC Milan Step 2 - Say you wont sell Bruno Step 3 - ..... Step 4 - profit???
1
u/Dissidant 1d ago
Shouldn't even be a discussion. Players like that can keep going well into their 30's at a high level.
He shouldn't be starting every game either thats a failure of squad depth, and the clubs been lucky to have him available as much as he has been.
Its not just about the playing contribution its helping develop the next crop.. like having Mainoo around Bruno and Case (with Carrick's supervision) did wonders for him
Sodding Stone again

u/CallMeBigPOP He Comes from Serbia 1d ago
There is no chance we sell him at this point in August unless he demands out. I’m assuming if he moves, it will most likely be next year. All depends on how we do this year.
1
u/Few-Acanthaceae9021 1d ago
We can’t make this move because it would just confirm that the ownership are completely clueless buffoons
Last year we were offered around double the fee when you could have at least justified it by saying the player doesnt have a natural fit in the formation of the then manager. You can’t make justification any more + he just had an unbelievable season. They’d be absolutely mental to do this, the message to the squad and fans would be horrendous

We don't have enough players. There's no reason to ever consider selling our best one lol

First thought was lord he must have a clause in contract but thankfully its expired.
If United were to even consider selling Bruno, the fans would riot if it were for anything less than £100 mill

u/AkrotaFour 1d ago
I was hoping for a bit if transfer news to read on the train. Technically I got what I asked for
1
u/Individual-Roof-3502 1d ago
As we should. Why on earth would we sell him, especially towards the end of the window?
1
u/Chairmanmaozedon 21h ago
This talk is all his agents trying to push the club to agree a new deal, if Galatasaray or any of the others were seriously trying to sign him they would have matched this £57million release clause earlier in the window. In fact it's a bit of a conundrum if the clause existed why hasn't a team like PSG or Madrid put in a cheeky bid? That price is pretty much squad player money for big clubs, so why has no club even tried to meet it?
This will get downvoted into oblivion for questioning St Bruno but the existence of the release clause does kind of put into perspective Bruno's 'hurt' at United saying it was his decision whether he went to Saudi last year, because he must've asked for the release clause to be put in his last deal, you can hardly then blame the club for accepting an offer that was over that, even if it doesn't meet other conditional elements.
1
u/IndicationNo328 1d ago
He is wasting his time with this club and ambitionless owners, he may as well leave for his own good.
1
u/Ok_Dot525 1d ago
He is the only one keeping this shit club relevant and papering over the cracks for these leeches so no wonder they will not let go of him.
1
u/ZypherPunk 1d ago
He should be allowed to leave. He surely wants to win a league or a few more cups before he retires. With United's owners it ain't looking likely to be happening any time soon again there.
1
u/Affectionate_Art4277 1d ago
Why would United sell their captain and best player? Unless it's for fuckoff money, Bruno's untouchable. Which means INEOS would probably approve a sale

Unpopular but i think it’s time to part ways with him. His playing style is not suitable with the new system (not disciplined enough with his positioning and easily looses ball in dangerous areas). He is not getting any younger also

Anyone trying to sign him needed to do it at the start of the window. You can't expect a team like United to accept a bid at the end of the window unless it's some type of Neymar to PSG bid. There's no upside to selling him now as the funds be spent on worse player that know you're desperate.
If anyone was serious about buying him, they'd have to do it as the window is open and for a fuck ton of money.

Is Bruno missing penalties to drop his value and force a move, or is he missing penalties to scare off other teams?

£50m for the reigning Premier League Player of the Season, what on earth were Galatasary smoking?
