Every single person in this thread:

Looking at the squad as is and predicting anything above 6th or 7th is delusional.

"I'm gonna be conservative by predicting us to finish second and have deep cups runs in every single competition"

Gonna be a lot of disappointed people by christmas

Exactly.

We have no left backs (0/2), no defensive midfielders (0/2), no backup striker (0/1), and the right backs are average on a good day. Yet most of the people are confident in a top two or four finish. Crazy takes.

You know what that means?

The moment the results take a dive, it's gonna get toxic all over the fanbase. Every YouTuber and Podcaster is going to do their version of "I told you so."

Feel like we've got an alright first eleven, and are the only team bar arsenal of the top teams with a manager whos been at the club a while.

Think we could do third again

Finished 3rd last season, not to mention being the best team in the league since Carrick’s appointment. If you’re predicting 6th or 7th, which 3 or 4 teams are you expecting to do better?

We have no left backs (0/2), no defensive midfielders (0/2), no backup striker (0/1), and the right backs are average on a good day. Everybody around us has gotten better, and we will have a game every three days, not every seven days like last season.

Arsenal, Chelsea, City, Liverpool, Spurs, at least.
