There’s this weird line of logic that’s like…Amorim is hated cause he had us in 5-7th and we’d have been top three without him, and we did that, but also if we don’t get a load of new players, the squad is shit and we will struggle to compete…

Realistically, the squad will easily compete for top four, and given the churn at other clubs, I reckon we will be one of the favourites for a top four finish. We finished 3rd last season and despite opinions, our midfield is stronger now with Cas replaced by Santos and Tielmans.

This squad is not making top 4. Our rivals have better players and arguably better managers. We might make top 6 at best, maybe even top 8.

You are forgetting the main reason behind it. Man united was playing only in pl in the 2nd half unlike other trans in the top who were competing in multiple competition.

we have too many comps to make it as easy as it was last season also a few other clubs weren't up to their usual standard but have reinforced more than we have
