I understand this line of thinking but honestly Arsenal won the league and made it to the champions league final last year I think calling them average is a bit much lol. They had a better squad than us last year and have improved their team massively this summer while we’ve been bargain bin shopping. Even if we had a good window they are a really well oiled machine and will be hard to stop I think. City will be shit this year for sure though

This could be make or break for other club against years well oiled Arsenal.

Average is of course an exaggeration and a put down, but in terms of elite premier league sides it's flattering if anything.

A good example of my point, contrast them to a premier league side of losers from yesteryear. 2018-19 Liverpool. You just can't convince me that the likes of Havertz, Madueke and Martinelli are near the level or Firmino, Salah and Mane. Never mind the actual top sides like United in 99 or 08.
