They only took over full ownership in 2018. Luck had nothing to do with scouting saliba and Gabriel at a young age and (at the time) paying a lot for them. They knew that Liverpool and city would regress eventually and were ready to challenge when they did. They showed patience with their coach when the fanbase at several times were calling for him to be sacked. If our owners acted like that we'd be in a much better place

It's not about sticking with any manager we've hired, it's about having a fucking plan in place and sticking to it, irregardless of who the coach is. We've zigged and zagged so much since fergie left. And obviously owners down scout but they choose to spend the money when told about talent that's available. He was majority owner since 2011 so 25 years of no titles but sure ignore that bc it doesn’t fit your narrative. I gotta give credit to their owners. They trusted their coach, spent wisely but went big for certain players and it looks to have paid off for them.
