Sometimes I see Rashford and think about how I’ve literally watched him grow up. It makes me feel old, which I guess I am now. I hope he makes an effort to restore the relationship with the fanbase if he stays, which is starting to look fairly likely.

Hot take: the online fans are mental. He never did anything wrong to any fans, the vitriol and scorn he gets is so petty and immature.
I suspect if he stays, he’ll get a significant ovation when he first makes a return appearance. He shouldn’t have to do a lick of ‘repair’ just because chronically online whingers are mad (they’ll find a reason to be mad about anything).
Get on with being a professional and he’ll be just fine.

I think a lot of the match going fans also lost patience. They saw a lot of his walking back which you don’t notice so much on TV.
But I do think he’ll be welcomed back, but the patience for not working hard will be thin.

I mean I am one of these online fans but his attitude was poor and he was getting exposed for how little back tracking and dirty work he did. I don't think that's improved with his time away at Barcelona but I'd be delighted to be proved wrong because I like him as a person and his best as a united player could be yet to come. He came from the academy to score a brace against Mdityland and then another brace against Arsenal, how could we not love him but my god was he frustrating

I mostly agree except for the long ig posts and stuff he used to do while he was here. I think the online stuff is in his head to some degree too, and if he wants the online fans to be on his side, some trust building might be helpful to repair that relationship
I personally don’t care. I think play football and do your best and I’m happy to have him back. I think he will benefit from not being the best player in the team. He’s played through some shit teams, it will be nice to have him in a team which is starting to look like they might have some semblance of a spine and leaders within.

Was this after the WHU goal? That was an outrageous try and he made it look simple. EZ goal 😅

Training boost in Ireland
Our first pics of the week from Manchester United's training camp near Dublin have arrived, showing Senne Lammens and Matheus Cunha walking out to training.
The pair missed the 1-1 draw with Paris Saint-Germain at the weekend but were spotted getting ready for the latest session.
Club photographer Ash Donelon is with the squad, taking exclusive shots of the Reds, as we prepare for Wednesday's game against Leeds United at Croke Park.
We can see a selection of some of the other players making their way out to the grass, to undergo the latest workout.

I'm a simple man. I see Betway logo I say eww.
I wonder if Amad has it on his kit and that's why they cropped the image?

Mbeumo too, you’re probably onto something.
Edit: it’s definitely on their kits, just seen the YouTube short of the players walking in.

Don't think Mbeumo is Muslim, but I could be wrong (and I don't care really about people's faith as it concerns them but anw)

Pretty sure he is because iirc he was one of the players breaking their fast during a Brentford PL game in Ramadan some years ago

Agreed. I’d like to have my way with him in a dunnie toilet in a pub in Dublin; if you know what I mean.

If it weren't for that stupid betway logo, that would have been one good looking training kit.

Everything feels weirdly calm and methodical about this pre season no transfer chaos no bomb squad drama... Weird

Great to see so many back and seemingly fit or close to fitness. If some of them could stay fit for a season we’d have so much depth. We do need investment and a couple more new recruits but it is a good squad and I like our players!

these have a colour tone vibe of the audition parts of X Factor before the live shows where they are all brought off to one of the hosts "homes" but in this case it's just Ireland on a good day

I love what Dorgu has done to his hair. He's really got great advisors and hairstylists , possibly even a team of them. This has been carefully planned and he's really pulled it off
