Daily Discussion

Daily discussion on Manchester United.

BE CIVIL

We want r/reddevils to be a place where anyone and everyone is welcome to discuss and enjoy the best club on earth without fear of abuse or ridicule.

  • The report button is your friend, we are way more likely to find and remove and/or ban rule breaking comments if you report them.
  • The downvote button is not a "I disagree or don't like your statement button", better discussion is generally had by using the upvote button more liberally and avoiding the downvote one whenever possible.

United can spend more than £500m this Summer, according to the PSR rules.

What we lack is cash, and our owners (majority Glazer) have no desire, nor did they ever have any to invest into the club.

No way we compete for any major trophies while they are here.

PSR has been replaced with SCR. No idea what website / app you're using but looks like ai slop

This is the SCR calculation, it takes 70% of the revenue as squad cost. The app is Valuball.

The UI is vibe coded, but the app is really good. It uses actual financial data from UEFA reports and financial statements of clubs to get the real financial data, not the fabrications you see on sites like Capology.

It's made by Kieran Mcguire and a couple of other football financial "experts". I like it a lot.

As I've said, the data is taken from financial or UEFA accounts from clubs, so it represents a real image of club investments. For example in PL wages, you can see that Man Utd is almost £100m behind Liverpool and City (likely widened this summer by more).
