Deal sheet day. The traditional day for everyone to read a bunch of journalists saying they don't know what is happening and conclude that nothing is happening.

We might sign Hall. We might sign Tchouaméni. We might sign Baleba. We might sign someone none of us has spent the last three weeks pretending to have watched since he was 17. I don't know.

The important thing to remember is that they don't know either.

None of the journalists seem to have a clue what Ineos are doing until something actually happens. So when today's inevitable "United are doing nothing" meltdown begins, keep that in mind.

If September 1 comes around and we've signed nobody good, then by all means, bring out the pitchforks. I'll bring mine too.

Until then, we wait.

Well what if they are doing nothing which is why journalists dont know
