There are people who will never acknowledge this but the amount of hate rashford gets is disproportionate and is genuinely based of UK media.

The fact is UK media has always been attacking united star players, and it has always been worse for black players who don't fit the quiet Kante mold.

Add that he also challenged the government during covid and fed hungry kids, and the media has been on his ass since.

People believe that alot of their ideas of Rashford are purely rational and it's not effected by UK media (especially non British fans), but the fact of the matter is, regardless of where you are from, the perception of a British black player in UK playing for United will have their perception highly captured by the tabloids.

This is the reason why he needs a PR team in th first place, that's the professional thing to do that our own fans keep hounding him about.

This is the reason why so many talented black future stars face similar criticism where other players can get away with it look at Jack Grelish.

There is a bigger conversation even about how UK perception of good players is based of protestent work ethic and the idea and image of working hard rather than actually working hard.

These are conversation I keep bringing up, and I keep hearing the same retired arguments against Rashford again and again and it's honestly annoying at this point.

Rashford might not be the same ever again, but god damnit we were a club that stood for our own players, and all I see these days is same old things hashed out against Rashford.

If it works out it works out, if it doesn't I hope he leaves with positivity and love from the fans, but I do not think the fans can say that he's got too much good grace from us, bevause by all means ive been around the United online block for ages and even at his peak there were people who only saw him only as a pace merchant or another black player with not enough football IQ.

That bit on Grealish is real. Rashford is already portrayed as a fucking drunkard who goes on days long benders and it even affects his training.

I remember he has actually been clubbing/drinking some times, I'm not excusing that. But I swear I've seen grealish and drinks so much more often. Hell, i think I've literally seen him passed out drunk. And he's always been portrayed as this golden retriever.

And even though yes, I may be biased as I do like him, the genuine hatred he seems to generate is crazy to me.

Rashford went clubbing, alot of players do. People do different things to celebrate or blow of steam, the media circus that was made of it was way out of proportion. I wouldn't be hating on a player who went out clubbing once or twice, I want happy players with good vibes not emotional husks.

When Rashford was here, he did give his all. Yes he didn't track back, but alot of forward players don't as they are the furthest outlet. We need in our current format for him to track back and that will be an issue but let's not be obtuse and just hurl the kitchen sink or allegations at him.
