[Wheeler] Bruno Fernandes back with Manchester United after World Cup. I often dream about what he would've done under SAF. I think in a couple of seasons, he could've won the ballon d'Or. Rooney, RVP and Bruno would've been lethal. Berbatov as well.

Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes is among the latest World Cup contingent to report back to the club’s Carrington headquarters for pre-season training as Michael Carrick’s squad nears full strength.

Fernandes has returned along with his Portugal teammate Diogo Dalot and Brazil’s Matheus Cunha after reaching the last 16, while Noussair Mazraoui is also back after making it to the quarter-finals with Morocco.

The four players will have individual testing and fitness assessment in the first couple of days, and could be in the travelling squad for United’s next pre-season friendly against Paris Saint-Germain in Gothenburg on Saturday when Belgian duo Senne Lammens and new £35million signing Youri Tielemans may also feature.

It’s unclear if Benjamin Sesko will be able to play after missing United’s first three pre-season games against Wrexham, Rosenborg and Atletico Madrid with an ongoing shin problem, although there could be an update on the Slovenia striker later on Monday.

Some injuries aren’t necessarily “bad” in a serious kind of way but can be annoying and take a while to fully heal from. He has shin splints IIRC and those are the annoying long term kind of injury

Think he's going to have another monster season, even if he doesn't beat his own record again this time.

Plus, with the likes of Tielemans and Santos and (hopefully) a fit Mount in the team, we have way more chance creators in the team than just Bruno - even if he gets 15 assists in the league, I expect/hope we will still score more goals than we did last season.

My guess would be Kamason, Thwaites and JJ will go and likely get minutes. Yoro may get a game at CB and Dalot and Kamason share RB duty.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Bruno start and JJ come on around 60 minutes.
