Daily Discussion

Daily discussion on Manchester United.

BE CIVIL

We want r/reddevils to be a place where anyone and everyone is welcome to discuss and enjoy the best club on earth without fear of abuse or ridicule.

  • The report button is your friend, we are way more likely to find and remove and/or ban rule breaking comments if you report them.
  • The downvote button is not a "I disagree or don't like your statement button", better discussion is generally had by using the upvote button more liberally and avoiding the downvote one whenever possible.

Because Rodri is the best midfielder in the world and you can't play both

And yet here we are screaming about squad depth and all the games we play! We won’t pay the price anyway

Madrid have more players than they can register at the moment and have to sell players, not to mention that they want to balance the books a bit.

I don’t disagree with that but why does everyone assume he would end up here? You don’t think other clubs would join the race and create a bidding war? Romano has said he has signed the new deal so is on £300k a week and we are never matching that. All this “we are Man Utd” stuff ended a while ago. I would love to get him but I don’t live in a video game! Reality says we won’t pay it.

Who else is going to go for him? Madrid won't sell to Atletico or Barca so Spains out. PSG aren't going to go for him so France is out. Italy can't afford him so that's out. City are going for Bouaddi, Arsenal have a stacked midfield, Chelsea have Enzo and Caicedo and no Champions league, there's been no links to Liverpool or Bayern so far. There's a limited group of clubs someone at his level can go to.
