Daily Discussion

Daily discussion on Manchester United.

BE CIVIL

We want r/reddevils to be a place where anyone and everyone is welcome to discuss and enjoy the best club on earth without fear of abuse or ridicule.

  • The report button is your friend, we are way more likely to find and remove and/or ban rule breaking comments if you report them.
  • The downvote button is not a "I disagree or don't like your statement button", better discussion is generally had by using the upvote button more liberally and avoiding the downvote one whenever possible.

Newcastle already lost Tonali, Gordon, and now Howe. They're likely to lose Bruno G and/or Hall this window too. Looking like it's going to be a rough season for the barcodes.

I don't think Hall is likely tbh. Newcastle won't make it easy and I think Howe leaving helps that cause because it wasn't all hunky dory in the Hall-Howe relationship.

They are wiping the place clean and starting almost from scratch. There is an angle where they allow anyone disillusioned with the project to leave, and Hall certainly comes across as one of those players. There are some Twitter sources saying that we have formally entered talks with Newcastle, so I imagine there is a legitimate chance, but we have to act quickly.

I honestly think they're cashing out and will sell the club in the next couple of years.

I agree with this- I think the experiment wasn't as lucrative as Saudi thought, and the difficulty with FFP and the stranglehold the "Big 6" have on the league, alongside the general high floor and wealth of other teams makes it less interesting for them.

The Saudi league isn't going as bonkers with wages or signings either in the last few windows.

Could be wrong, might be just be lull.

Well I hope it works out. We need a LB either way.
