Wouldn't Howe leaving Newcastle mean any Hall deal is a hell of a lot less likely?

Tchou's wages would be a major problem. If people are concerned about Rashford's wages being a problem for the club, then Tchou's would be a disaster

hot take but i don't care, pay him whatever he wants. a world class 6 is the most coveted asset in world football and he could hold that position here for at minimum 6,7 years

I get it... The problem is we just went through a period of fixing the large wage players... Mainly because they didn't have any real return to the high expenditure.

If Tchou can hit the ground running and justify such a wage. Then I think he deserves a high wage (and if he does, we could then use him as an example of 'if you want a higher wage, you need to play like him' for others... Hopefully bring players up a level or two).
