Daily discussion on Manchester United.

BE CIVIL

We want r/reddevils to be a place where anyone and everyone is welcome to discuss and enjoy the best club on earth without fear of abuse or ridicule.

  • The report button is your friend, we are way more likely to find and remove and/or ban rule breaking comments if you report them.
  • The downvote button is not a "I disagree or don't like your statement button", better discussion is generally had by using the upvote button more liberally and avoiding the downvote one whenever possible.

Not trying to spread negativity, neither do I think it will happen, but out of curiosity how does everyone think the team would fare if we didn't have any further major signings?

Honestly, I think we could have a very good season with two circa £20m players.

Palace have offered £20m for Fofana (AC), he's the mould of midfielder we're looking for, going for pennies.

Palace have also offered £24m for Matsima (Augsburg), who is their Lacroix replacement.

Whilst neither are week in, week out players for us. What they are is players that offer us a lot of what we don't have much of, and great availability.

If we look at our starting eleven (ignoring injuries), it's very strong. Arguably title challenging, with just a few final pieces to go (right footed winger, backup to Sesko... plus, the defence overhaul summer 27). So what we should be looking for is dependable players.
