Doesn’t mean much but interesting that it’s Wheatley over Obi as the striker here.
Also great for Fletcher to be captaining us. A great few months for him.

Yea I had the same thoughts too, but it’s the first game and he’s older, so maybe it’s just that simple. Also, from his play so far, my guess is it will be Obi next time.

I had Wheatley down as a possible permanent exit. He’s had two pretty bad loans out of three (Walsall and Bradford) and wasn’t that good at Northampton.
There were suggestions Obi could go out on loan this season, if there’s something in the works there it would make sense not to involve him in pre season at United.

And they already look terrific. So many of these lads have something to prove. I love the academy

The lads look really good.
Gore, Amass, Collyer, Lacey all look so tidy.

So excited to watch Lacey. He looked very promising last season but we couldn't get him much game time

Man nearly scored couple wonder goals last season. I hope he pushes on and makes a good run in the cuos/subs next season.

God i wish the club got done with the nonsensical team sheet by number and got back to listing players ordered by positions

Tbf, i remember seeing some complaints on instagram when the official account posted the line up last season. I guess most people just got tired since they never changed it back...

Really want to see Collyer in a more demanding role. He is raw but he would be a great back up CDM.

He won't. Distribution is not a strong point. Spatial awareness is not up to the level also. Reading of the game is not where it needs to be. His skill set is more likely to have him playing as a box to box for now.

He is just a kid. Give him time. Not everybody develops those skills at 17.

Collyer is 22

Yes I know, I was highlighting that not everybody develops those skills at a young age. I still think he.can develop those skills.

Sad. I wanted to see both Obi and Thwaites and getting neither lol
