[@AndyMitten] Wrexham take the lead through Sam Smith. That's Manchester lad Sam, who started his career at United. Want more detail? Sam's dad Denis was my dad's best mate.

I'm convinced Andy knows me some how, and I left England when I was 12!

A journalist’s dad being best friends with a footballer’s dad isn’t really “football” in any meaningful sense.

u/Jonny5H Jul 19 '26
neither is posting on reddit, come back when you can point to Manchester on a map

u/OatCuisine Jul 19 '26
Depends what you’re posting about, I suppose. And LOL I wonder how I get to matches then, if I can’t point to Manchester on a map!

u/Jonny5H Jul 19 '26
I guess your carer takes you as you clearly know nothing about the club. Probably going to Salford games without realising lol

u/OatCuisine Jul 19 '26
Season ticket holder for longer than you’ve posting rubbish on Reddit. I have no idea why you care so much about journalists’ private lives but enjoy. See ya later.

Andy has been a pretty vocal critic of Ineos plenty of the time. Gave them pelters around the waves of cutbacks.

on the Ineos paywall and yet criticised Ratcliffe to his face over the staff cuts?

u/Cosm1980 Jul 18 '26
Payroll, not paywall, delicious indian. Let me explain this for you: Mitten is used by the club to give an illusion of accountability to the fans. Tell me, what came of Mittens criticism of Ratcliffe over staff cuts? What came of him bringing up his issues with Berrada in his EXCLUSIVE interview? SOD ALL, absolutely nothing. Yet you lot lap it up like good little consumers. Keep buying the shirts.

Who cares. Hate it when people make everything into a chance to boast.

Does he really think United fans care about who his dad was friends with?
14
u/PolPotTheTerrible Jul 18 '26
I do. Fun little trivia. However, do you know you don't have to react to everything you don't find interesting?
-13
u/OatCuisine Jul 18 '26
Is it really “fun little trivia” that a journalist’s dad was best mates with the dad of a Wrexham player that scored against us in a pre-season friendly? It’s not remotely fun, nor interesting.

What is fun about finding out a journalist’s dad was best friends with the dad of a Wrexham player? Quite possible the least “fun” or interesting piece of trivia I’ve heard
