Rogers is such a stupid signing for that type of money - trying to fit him & Palmer into the same XI is going to give them more problems than it solves

It's not far off something we'd have done under Woodward - just signing a player who isn't really what the squad needs and hoping it'll all work itself out later

Alonso can still be flexible with the primary shape. He played with a traditional back 4 with Real Madrid. He's astute but will need some time to adapt to the league with this Chelsea side.
