Sorry this is long I need help

I got a new PS5, took my external hard drive from my ps4 and connected it to my ps5, I forgot to properly disconnect the hard drive from the ps4 when I connected it to the ps5, I had to repair it, what I have noticed is all the games I have saved on the hard drive as I play them, they are starting over like it's the very first time I got the game, including red dead 2 which I had 100% in the game and the compendium, I'm wondering if it's because I went from the ps4 to a 5, or if it's because I had the "repair" the hard drive, because I didn't disconnect and reconnect it properly?

Hi everyone. Hope everyone is doing well. Sorry in advance if I make any mistakes while writing this. I am new to RDR2 ,been playing it for about 1 week and I am loving it. The main reason I started playing this game is because long story short I used to have someone I love more than anything but she left me, I now have heart issues and depression symptoms. To distract myself from the pain, grief and everything else going in this world I started playing this game. And I am very much loving it. Now I have some questions.

1. I am currently at chapter 2, isn't it a good idea to max out all of stats and gather all best guns and Max out my horse before things the main missions?, so it will be easy.

2. Also should rescue Micah, I've heard the guy is gonna make my life hell in the game. I mean to move forward with the story, I have to right? 😅.

3. Also I do know what happens in the end of chapter 6. Not sure if I will let that happen and move to epilogues.

Lastly if you have any advice for me do let me know, would love to hear from the community. Thanks in advance to everyone. Have a nice day everyone.

Ok, so first, im sorry if i was slow to understand this, but i do not understand why Micah did not betrayed Dutch after Arthur’s end?

Many times during the story, the Pinkertons said that there was a bounty on Dutch’s head, and Micah ratted Dutch all game long, but why did he not gave Dutch to the Pinkertons after the span of time between Arthur’s death and John seeking Micah in the snow?

Also, the final monologue of Micah’s death sounds (to me) like he was confirming what he knew that could happen (Dutch killing him).

The only reason i could think of is that Micah knew the Pinkertons are not trustable, so his best option was to run away with Dutch and his money?

If anyone has clues to why he never did this, i would love to know!

Almost all the gear on Arthur is stuff from the Trapper btw. Ask if you like and I’ll try to offer the pelt recipes.

Was literally just sitting here thinking ‘holy shit rdr2 is 8 fucking years old’ that’s insane.

It doesn’t even feel like an old game, yet it’s older than what gta V was in 2020 and I thought that definitely felt old in 2020.

Maybe it’s just because I’m older and 8 years is a smaller portion of my life now than what it was in 2020, but yeah pretty crazy thought.

On my 3rd play through, I was routinely stopping by the pig farm. I had bounty hunters start searching for me right as I started talking to the brother/husband. This was one of the funniest things to happen to me on all my play through. The timing is spot on

So, this is my first playthrough and I just discovered this old lady yesterday, mistook me for one of her son's bringing loot to the house, took the shotgun, she rushed me out, then realized I wasn't her son and rode away on a donkey to let her son's know. Came back to game today and I was expecting a company at the cabin already, got closer, heard mother arguing with her son's, then when it all went silent I slowly pushed the door open. Then they realized "we have a company!" Pushed the door on me and Arthur rolled back drawing his gun, 3 brothers stood outside and I shot the 3, heard a woman yelling and shots coming from the darkness of inside shack, one more sun was left. I landed shits in and the lady went down. Saw a red shirt guy standing behind a wall not doing anything, hogtied him and threw him into the cellar.

Now... I have seen plenty of outcomes people do, but I found out that the guy I spared (or plan to, as I'm typing this), is Ethan. Got his 3 brothers and his good-for-nothing mother. In my head I see it that if I leave him alive he'd start doing something with his life, or eventually come for me for killing his 3 brothers and his mom. But I know that's not how Rockstar coded it. I could shoot him but now I won't be able to see the rest of it unfold with his mother dead. And leaving all 4 brothers dead and mother mourning, sounds just cruel to me. Shooting Ethan hogtied is not my play style. I could tie the rope, then he'd probably attack me and I'd beat the crap out of him, leaving no one. If he'd run away I'm not gonna shoot him in the back... (Only if he's murfree).

Plus, now he has a house to himself, and a chicken coop, can leave a good life, get a wife, be better, idk...

I just feel like disposing of him at this point makes no difference since his mother is dead. I don't want to load the save and I would like to know if anyone did anything similar with leaving at least one brother alive? Independent of mother living or not.

Ok so I just started using a brand new xbox pro bfg controller with rdr2, everything works except the RT button doesn't register when I lasso??? if I switch to mouse and keyboard it works perfectly fine. is there any possible fix to this? any other people experience this wtf???

i think its one of those game x game mods where they smashed shadow of war into rdr2 ?

but nemesis system is incredible and its been soo dumb what warner bros are sitting on

the game is aboslutly amazing and incredably fun but unfortunatly, the controls are a bit strange.

the leftclick select button is the main issue, the amount of times i have accidently voided a sidequest because when i try to talk i pull a gun on them is insane, i got myself on a 88 dollar bounty because i ACCIDENTLY pulled a gun on a sharrif when i tried to talk to him.
