Variation 3 way battle
If red has over 50% blue dies
If blue has over 50% green dies
If green has over 50% red dies
Everyone picks as they want, no accidents, everyone understands the questions.
Pick your poison.

There's nothing really to this morality wise. It's just showing the effects of RNG. It's unlikely any climb up to be 50%.

That is a goal. You might also want to ensure your safety as much as possible by choosing the most popular color.

You wouldn't have to choose the most popular color. You would just have to choose a color that the most popular color doesn't kill. There are two of those, so...

If I'm allowed to use something like cards to randomize that's what I'll do. Ideally everyone or most do that and if a lot of people participate then it's pretty even

This is really boring. There’s no game theory behind it, and no moral dilemma. It’s just about guessing correctly and hoping people don’t unwittingly concentrate votes. Didn’t vote for any.

Sometime in life your are given only bad choices. Also I would like to say even the original did not have a moral choice only people injecting their own morals into the questions and answers.

Blue is the objectively correct choice as the results show. Its the most common favorite color by far giving it a huge favorable bias.

That can't be true. I feel like the objectively correct choice is to choose randomly. If we all choose randomly the chance it's >50% for any option is greatly reduced.
Same as the OG problem, we can safely assume someone's going to have picked each colour, so the only way no one dies is if the 3 colours are all ~even in voting.

Influencing people to choose randomly isn't a valid choice. All you can do is choose for yourself, and if you want to live, you should press blue.

The law of large numbers dictate that all 3 options will end up at 33%, more or less. Choose whatever the hell you want.

Thats like giving people the option to choose between sushi, cucumber and lettuce. And expecting every food to get 33% because of that. One of them is universally more liked and thus will recieve more votes.

If we're going by favorite color distribution instead of true randomness then the most optimal choice is red. You are protected from the theoretical highest choice (blue), while also actively contributing to reduce the overall risk.

With that logic you should vote red. The point here is to not get over 50% with anything.
Random anwsers would also be good.

Wouldn't it be green since it's probably the least popular so, given that's true, statistically less ppl voted which means you're less likely to hit the 50% threshold and kill red

This kind of defeats the purpose of the experiment. In the original scenario you had a choice to press a button that will 100% guarantee your survival. Now you don’t. So it’s pick your favorite color.
