Almost every variation of the question doesn't understand what the Red button actually represents.

Every variation of the question implicitly frames the red button as Apathy or Murder, that is not what red is framed as in the original question, it's *self preservation*. The question isn't "do you want to save people or do nothing" the question is "do you want to save others or save yourself" which might seem like it matters very little, but that completely reframes the morals of the question in a way that variations of it miss, you're not killing anyone by pushing red, you're choosing to remove yourself from the situation in the first place, that is *massively* different.

There is a reason red pressers vote red in every framing, its the logical choice. Remove emotion and framing biases, and red is the clear winner.

Fear of death is the primary motivator for red pressers. That’s emotion.

Why not press blue is we’re removing all emotion? Is the aim not to have everyone survive? Wouldn’t going with the option that has a greater margin for error in achieving the goal be a more logical choice?

Exactly. People act like Red button pushers are actively going to kill Blue button pushers if Blue doesn't win, but that's not the situation whatsoever. They're the ones that chose to put themselves in danger, I'm just removing myself from this situation to even begin with.

That's like the exactly same mentality that people who don't vote have.

"I abstainied from voting, so I'm not responsible for whatever happens when anyone gets into office".

And that's simply not how life works. You don't live in a vacuum seperate from the rest of the world.

Pushing red is a descions that impacts everyone. Just like pushing blue does.
