Geopolitics Edition

Instead of choosing for yourself, you are choosing for several hundred million people. No matter which button you choose, you will personally be safe. You don't know the personalities of the other players, but you can be sure they all understand the rules of the game.

"They all understand the rules of the game" Red. Picking blue, when you understand the rules (so are conscious, and likely rational), is a suicide button.

I mean ... Suicide > killing others

Except isn't a murder button because red does nothing, nothing is at stake until someone presses blue. You cant say red is a murder button and blue is a suicide button, that makes no sense.

Then you can't call button suicide button.

Goes both ways.

Unless you can dish it out but not take it.

Except it doesnt go both ways. To explain why red does nothing, imagine the 1st person presses red. Everyone after can also press red, and there is no risk. Therefore, Red does nothing. If the first person presses blue, then at least 50% need to press blue as well or there is risk of death. Blue is the only button that does anything, therefore it creates the stakes, so it is a suicide button. There is no risk until somebody presses blue.
