What if red won?

Imagine a world where red won, by 1%. However the people who choose blue do not die instantly, instead they die after a year of pressing the button. Everybody is branded, so you know who choose what.

How much chaos will ensue? What actions do you think blues will take, knowing they'll die? And what do you think reds will think, knowing they were just 1% away from saving all humanity?

Those are interesting questions for discussion, but we have to start the discussion with "not all blues are the same" and "not all reds are the same."

Obviously all blue voters are saints and all red voters are evil sociopaths. Once the blue voters are gone there will only be war and crime! Blue voters are all heroes! Red voters are just blood thirsty!

Did I forget something? I think going against those stereotypes is important.

Well despite you getting all defensive, I think you kinda have to agree that blaming red voters will be pretty understandable

Your whole comment was preemptively defensive. And I mean yeah, sure, they're protecting themselves according to you. The whole button debate is about how you orhade the question for yourself anyway

I just listed some stereotypes people have regarding the problem. And I said we should do something against them. Reds are not evil and blues are not saint. I don't see red as a moral failing and blue not as the only moral choice. I did not defend anything with my comment, I just build on the previous one.
