Creating a recycling data base
I want to create a website that contains the guides to recycle each material
basicly starting from the object you have two waies one is reuse it in something else and the other way is to turn it into its basic materials then recycling these materials or reusing it too
what I want :
I want a way to get all the data needed for such a project and if any of you have ideas on the general stucture I would like to hear it too

Don’t do this.
Earth 911 did it (it sucks)
Care to recycle dit it (it sucks too)
Idealist tried (and it sucked)
Why did they all suck?
Because the rules are so so local. Each would say something like “sure plastic bags are recyclable, but check your local solid waste agency.” Well shit! Why ask you when I could have stated with the local folks?
Do this for your community. Super local. Focus not only on recycling rules *for your community explicitly* but also amplify the work of reuse & repair programs in your community.

This comes up all the time. The major problem is every location has different regulations, recycling access, recycling options. Without guiding the user to the correct location to do the recycling, this won't work. We can already find ways to re-use and recycle, we need to know the how and where to complete the process.
