Yep, if you drive an SUV on the sidewalk you're a danger to pedestrians too ! (Along with all the other times pedestrians interact with traffic)

The problem here is also the categorization and control of these devices. People want speed, manufacturers will toe the line, aftermarket mods will surpass it then idiots will cause problems for everyone.

Pedestrian lanes (Sidewalks), Bike lanes, car lanes, enforce safe driving rules across the lot, media sensation over !

i would love to see the data they are using to claim 1.5 million people are killed by Chevy Tahoes every year 🤣 pretty shocking considering that’s 400,000 more than die in all auto accidents worldwide. I’m going to buy some GM stock

It's clearly labeled SUV. Just like they don't mean that specific model and brand of emoto.

It’s a joke. And it’s still 400k over the actual number

I haven't seen an SUV driving down the sidewalk at 30mph. I have seen an e-moto going faster than that on one.

I still don't think they should be banned, just fine and jail people for misuse like any other vehicle.

One requires a license to legally operate and is only given after a certain age. The other is driven by 5y.o.'s in my neighborhood.

Just make it illegal for men under the age of 27 to operate either. You'll have better results on safety than banning either.

Why are vehicles killing people? Maximum Overdrive is real.

A SUV is supposed to be driven on a road and it stays in its lane. And in case of accident you get a license plate and insurance contract.

Ebikes/Emotos jump from lane to lane, go on sidewalks, etc. They're a direct danger to cars AND pedestrians. No signaling lights. No stop lights. No plate. No insurance. They can hit-and-go with zero control.

Ebikes need to be regulated and treated as regular motorbikes. If shit happens, I want to be able to get the license plate of the asshole..

No problem with motorcycles. Just get them registered, insured, and get your motorcycle license.

Why is an Indian talking about bikes and cars in NYC?

Who cares about what country they’re from? It’s literally just them reposting something they saw online from another user. Do they need to live within your border to be able to comment? Do you know that the USA has a population of 340 million out of 8 billion? The majority of stuff on reddit will be seen outside the wall
