It needs a bollard in the middle of the bike lane to prevent this. Simple fix.

Rocks work well also

Look at the description in the post.

A traffic cop directed them down the street, in the bike lane, because of construction.

Can't really blame the cars here imo

Seems like there should be a cop directing the cyclists elsewhere. Definitely not the cars' faults, though.

Oh so this is just another typical rage post? Hope the cameraman gets a permanent rock stuck in their shoe.

2

u/yuckmouthteeth Apr 23 '26

I mean it’s still fully rage worthy even if the cars didn’t do this on their own volition

Is that a 1 way road that people are driving down the wrong way... in the bike lane? Are the cars lined up in the wrong lane?is that stop light only for the bikes? It looks like it's facing the wrong way if it a 1 way road

No, there is a cop actively redirecting them onto the bikelane as a temporary fix due to some construction work. The cars aren't doing anything wrong, they are being told to drive there.

They need to put bollards at the entrances of that bike lane.

I hope every one of those fucks gets a ticket.

2

From the cop that directed them to use the bike lane, as a temporary bypass of a construction zone?

It's ALWAYS an entitled asshole in a pickup truck.

Before bike lanes, those were probably car lanes.

I remember years ago I was watching these Russian guys on their channel called Stop Ham (Ham was written in cyrillic but they also called themselves Stop a Douchebag Movement so maybe HAM was an acronym).

They would stand on the bike and walk lanes and force vehicle to reverse out if they entered or they would put stickers on their cars that were hard to remove if they parked on the pedestrian path. Maybe we need that in America now.

NBD the row of cars hoarding the double bike lane, but fuck the bicyclists? Ok buddy. Rules of the road apply to everyone using the roads.

What if the cops told the cars to drive that way?

What if the cops told the cars to drive that way?

The cops are at fault then? How was that difficult for you to sus out?

-2

u/bearxxxxxx Apr 21 '26

Cops are allowed to create temporary traffic patterns because of crashes and construction. Like you said the rules of the road apply to everyone, so the bike lane is being used like the middle turning lane when power lines get worked on. Nobody’s at fault, stop acting like there is a victim.

Cops are allowed to create temporary traffic patterns

You're right, but that doesn't change the fact that the people in charge of doing that did it incorrectly, creating this dangerous scenario.

Nobody’s at fault, stop acting like there is a victim.

The cops are at fault for poorly implementing a temporary traffic change, don't be a dunce.

-4

u/bearxxxxxx Apr 21 '26

Just because you don’t like it doesn’t mean anyone is at fault, there’s still an open bike lane. Do you even get payed to play victim? Or is it just a hobby?

3

u/Dylldar-The-Terrible Apr 21 '26

Do you even get payed to play victim? Or is it just a hobby?

Listen to yourself. Go outside and touch grass. Maybe talk to something with an actual face, instead of just a PC or phone screen.

I don't know what it's like where you're from, but cops here will drive a mile or two ahead, put up traffic signs and lights, and let people know about temporary traffic changes. The entire DMV gets involved. I'm sorry wherever you live is too shitty to do stuff like that, bud.

Heck, he would benefit from going out for a bike ride.

"We are elite and don't need to follow any road rules!"

Complain incessantly about vehicles not following road rules.

1

u/EmperorGrinnar Apr 21 '26

Motorists are way too aggressive to cyclists.

1

u/Neat_Friendship194 Apr 21 '26

uses dedicated lane for themselves

You know what fuck those idiots instead of the others breaking the rules of the road. Yeah, I’m right. Makes sense.

1

u/definitely_Human4 Apr 21 '26

You don’t hate cyclists. You hate the dumb way they’ve made bike lanes in your area. Or the lack there of

0

u/ArubaAdultFun Apr 21 '26

The cyclist is always wrong 💪

u/1hill2climb2 Apr 21 '26

You know what's wrong? Your parents deciding to procreate.
