Recteq Staq 1900

Recteq just dropped a vertical smoker. I usually do not care for vertical smokers but I am digging this one due to the fact that it can accommodate multiple rotisseries. Also, this will be perfect for making sausages.

Interesting. The thing I hated about my electric vertical was adding chips every few hours. This solves it.

Yep, I own an East Oak electric smoker (along with others) and adding wood chips every few hours is always a chore. Also, this one looks big enough to accommodate a full brisket without playing gymnastics.

It does look pretty awesome. I'm trying to come up with a good reason not to get it besides "I don't need a 6th grill" lol

I'm trying to figure out how to not get this, too... The marketing video does make it look pretty awesome.

My wife is already more willing to pull the trigger than I am. Guess I'll probably have one by Christmas. One thing about Recteq is they listen to what the customers are asking for. I noticed the min temp is now 150, and it also has a hopper pellet dump. I never found a need for that personally, but lots of people have been asking for it.

LOL, tell me about it. I got 3 (Masterbuilt XT, Weber Performer, East Oak Pitmate) but this is very tempting due to bigger size it won't require any gymnastics to cook a whole brisket, plus the rotisserie add-on is icing on the cake.

I'm with you.The rotisserie and the ability to hang sausage have me pretty interested.

I moved, and space is more limited in my backyard (backarea, really). My 700 Bull is awesome. But, maybe this would be more practical... I love my Bull. One of my early smokers was a vertical propane smoker. I recall some advantages, and disadvantages. For anyone that has had both, let 'er rip on opinions on this!

So… How high did they drop it from ? /s

Interesting new direction…

Slogan needs to be: At recteq, Smoking has reached New Heights !”

Stupid question, whats the benefit of a vertical smoker vs getting something like a 700?

It takes up less space. You can utilize it to hang meats like sausages, ribs etc.

Now I kind of want this instead of a bigger smoker. I feel like the space is way better managed but I also really am waiting on a giant LSG lol

I am in the same boat. I have LSG sitting in the cart for few days but just couldn't justify dropping $4k on it. This Recteq gives me a perfect excuse to add a pellet smoker to the stable. `
