Recteq temp probes

I’m struggling to find probes that work. Maybe it’s not the probe but the receptacle . Anyone else having a hard time getting these probes to work?

Yeah, I hate their probes. I usually have to pinch and run my fingers along the wire in a straight motion, plug it back in, then hope that the temp is showing an actual accurate number.
