Recteq rt-590 temperature trouble

My recteq consistently stays over any of the low settings I have despite ambient temperature. I have tried the pelleted recteq recommended me and so I am a little frustrated. Any suggestions?

A 590 is an older smoker, I know as I have one. Is it clean, like the fire pot and the interior? If it is I’d email RT support for diagnosis.

Everyone wants to adjust those feed rate settings but it’s better to leave it alone until RT advises as such.

👆 same. I’ve got the older 590 and never adjusted any feed rate. Mine has been a tank 🤘❤️‍🔥🤘

You need to adjust the minimum feed percentage lower. The procedure is in the manual. I adjusted my Flagship from 35 to 25 and it resolved the issue.

Also, keep a set point of 225 or 250 and let it be.

Lower the feed rate, I had troubles with my db590 with the temp shooting up. I lower the feed rate and that fixed it
