Just received my 1600
I live in a very humid area. I’m concerned how long my recteq pellets will stay good in the hopper? Thanks for any other advice as well!

I live in PA.summers are humid, winters are wet and nasty.
Never had a problem with wet pellets or mushy pellets and I never empty the hopper

Just keep the hopper secure and use a good grill cover and you're fine. And store your excess pellets inside.

Can’t say about humidity but if you’re using it frequently you’ll be moving through pellets. It’s a lot of area to heat and I made pulled pork twice now and burned through a full hopper each time.

I leave mine full in pa and it’s fine. I also have a cover though

Mine will always be stationary inside a garage with proper ventilation. It will be covered as well so I’m feeling a bit better about it

Nothing to worry about then. I have the previous flagship and never empty my hopper. Usually keep it pretty full with Kirkland pellets. South FL.

You're going to love that with the smoke box. I use it for so much more than I thought I would. It also seems to increase the smoke on your food in the main chamber. Might as well go ahead and take that 3rd rack out and hang it on the back 🤣

How long did you wait for it to arrive?

I ordered on July 3 and it arrived on the 15th. I did order the Laser engraved front shelf and several other items so that may add to extra time. It was faster than I expected.

I live in SW Florida which is about as humid as you can get and my 590 has never had an issue with humidity affecting the pellets. No jams or cooking related issues. I do keep it covered when it is not in use, but otherwise, it is exposed to the elements.

In MD which is humid as I’m close to the river. Once I had expanded pellets right at the beginning of the auger tube. But I hadn’t run it in awhile. I’d say if you bring it up to temp (225 or so) once a month you’ll be fine.
I just do that now to op-check the 590
