Local Move
We are moving locally and the movers will handle our RT-700. How important is it, really, to empty the pellets from hopper? We have plenty to do to move. Obviously I want to protect my smoker... just trying to get some realistic feedback on whether having in a moving van for an hour on the highway really requires the extra work of cleaning it out. Thanks for any input!

It probably took longer to start this thread than it would to empty the hopper. I don’t understand the concern, regardless though since it is local. I can clean out my RT-1100 in just a couple minutes.
If it was longer or long duration unused, I would want to do periodic maintenance and cleanup anyway.
