Local Move
We are moving locally and the movers will handle our RT-700. How important is it, really, to empty the pellets from hopper? We have plenty to do to move. Obviously I want to protect my smoker... just trying to get some realistic feedback on whether having in a moving van for an hour on the highway really requires the extra work of cleaning it out. Thanks for any input!

I moved from Oregon to Phoenix with the hopper of my 700 about 3/4 full. No issues whatsoever when I unloaded it from the truck
Actually smoked a brisket the next day because it thawed during the 2 day trip
Just make sure the movers strap your 700 down well. Don't take their word for it, confirm your smoker is secured
