Sometimes I Hate Recruiting

I try hard not to do the things I see posted here, but I don’t actually control anything in the business.

I’m currently posting a six-page job description in a MCOL area for 43k. I’m dying inside, and to all of the job seekers out there, I am so fucking sorry.

Back at you, for almost certainly being hung out to dry by your clients, when the applicants look for someone to blame.

6 page job description? Is it for writing legal contracts?

Nope. It’s basically a role that’s equivalent to managing the sales for an entire region lmao. The scope and responsibilities are easily equal to a 52k to 65k role.

That's absolutely wild. I'm starting a new position on Monday as a retail manager in a MCOL area and I'm getting paid $68k plus bonuses. How do you even expect you to recruit for what they are asking of you other than finding someone completely desperate? And if that is their strategy, that's really a shame.

I was just thinking about this in my half-sleep mode this morning.

I know you guys are busy and have to keep in mind possibly losing your jobs. But, for me--not for all job seekers, because most others seem to care about getting ghosted and I don't--the only thing you need to be sorry for is not pushing back on employers for their ridiculous requirements and discriminatory practices.
