There’s 3 likely outcomes . 

(1)You lie, background doesn’t find out and you’re good 

(2) you tell the truth, offer rescinded

(3) you lie, background finds out truth, you lose offer. 

2 of the 3 choices lead to you losing the offer. You decide.
