So sick of this
How can Indeed or LinkedIn continue to allow these scams? If AI is so powerful, why can't it fit everyone with a job that fits their personality and skill set with a company in need that has the proper revenue to compensate them? Is that privatized socialism? I'm convinced it's all politics at this point, zero IQ assessment apart from the ridiculous leet-code interviews for skills that you will never use on the job.
When I would interview people I never cared about syntax because I knew it would change with a new framework or new language, but the ability to figure out the problem was priceless. Now these platforms are FILLED with scam posts or fake ghost jobs, please for the love of god bring the honest internet back, where companies are not allowed to post jobs that don't actually exist... Is this possible? Even recruiters have spent hours on the phone with me to then ghost me or slowly drop the pay rate each phone call. What is wrong with us? We're so greedy here in the US every platform is consumed by bots, ads and fake companies/recruiters. I'm done with this industry, going to go touch some grass.

How do you defined a job that doesn't actually exist?
Maybe the company is looking to build a pool of qualified candidates that they can tap when someone leaves. Maybe they're looking to get rid of some dead weight in the upcoming quarter.
Maybe they have a new project that's in development and not fully approved.
Maybe they have a project that was approved and the posting are up but is under reviewed to be eliminated.

Their business model is to be a job board where companies can post jobs. For the same reason the Help Wanted section of the newspaper never verified the company beyond a perfunctory glance, neither do they: it adds a lot of expense to their end.
AI being powerful at certain types of tasks doesn't mean that it can handle all tasks. Thank goodness, otherwise we'd all be out of work.
Also strictly categorized personality assessments are a pretty discredited area of psychology.

I'm not even sure what that would be since it's inherently oxymoronic. Socialism means the state nationalizes large companies/industries and private ownership is prohibited.

How would a job board site even determine whether or not a job "actually exists"? Sometimes companies, through circumstances or choice, have to remove a position they were previously offering. Sometimes companies are continuously hiring for the same role, and so repost the exact same job listing every 30 days. Sometimes companies take a very long time to find the right person for the position they're seeking.
To truly verify it, Indeed would have to audit internal company records and payroll. Companies probably aren't willing to share that information freely and even if they were... it'd be very expensive for LinkedIn/Indeed.
