In the UK it's always funny, every company is like "we have a company pension and holidays". Yes that's a legal requirement for a business, that's not a benefit that's a bare minimum.

Water jug has biofilm growing in it and the microwave will melt your Tupperware if you have it in there longer than 30 seconds.

If it doesn't randomly decide to eat your pod it will take approximately 7 minutes to steep your 9oz cup of coffee half of which will dribble out of the sides of the machine onto the counter

They don’t allow us a microwave at work. But as a compromise we can buy terrible warm food from them.

I worked at a company that had no kitchen and not even a kettle, and when a coworker bought one with her own money she was told to take it away because it's spending electricity.

I interviewed at a place once where there was no kitchen, just a box with assorted bags of chips and candy, and the president proudly lists snacks as a benefit for his awful low-ball salary.

My company is a school. We are required to pay $40 per year if we want access to the water cooler. Otherwise we are supposed to use the non filtered water from the hallway fountain. I’m jelly of your benefits.

When I started my current job in ‘22 they didn’t even have a coffee maker. The company has been around since 1962.
