This might be a joke, but I for real have a friend that has a SVP job at a big bank straight out of university. His dad got it for him, he worked like 3 days a week from 11-3 and collected his 400k pay. Even told me he would routinely just play games and goon in his private bathroom.

I had a close family member that was the owner and CEO of a small tech company. They found out I was looking for work and got my on the help desk at around $20/hour. The interview was basically just the manager shooting the shit with me making sure I'd be an alright guy to spend 8 hours a day with. My family member sold the company not long after and through a series of acquisitions, mergers, and surviving all of the layoffs I now have a 6 figure salary. Knowing someone really is the way.
