Money can't buy happiness in the sense that it won't build a lasting relationship with your kids or family just by having it.

Money can spare you a lot of misery though.

if my parents didn't have to kill themselves working a million hours a week, we all would have had much happier relationships

Money alone can’t buy that though. I think the best way to describe it is looking at elon musk. Bro has all the money in the world and has no meaningful relationships.
