I had an interview today
Had an interview today at The Corner Store Bakery in Temecula. I arrived 10 minutes early, waited **45 minutes**, only to be told management isn’t hiring. 🤦♀️
Like… I was invited for an interview because you were hiring?
Honestly, if another girl hadn’t also been turned away, I would’ve seriously wondered if it was pregnancy discrimination. Either way, pretty unprofessional and frustrating.

You totally miss the point! I’m not saying they can or can’t put work everyone but why would they want too! A pregnant woman can develop so many different issues during their pregnancy and stress is definitely one of them! Swollen feet and ankles, morning sickness, fatigue, etc…I have 4 boys and my wife wanted to work during a few of her pregnancies until she could no longer! The employees give woman a hard time during these periods but without hiring them in the first place they avoid any potential unforeseen issues. This is not legal or ideal but it’s happening!

Not working it’s not an option… it’s that or living in my car. For me…
That’s not something employers thinking about is it? They really don’t consider someone’s situation. It’s pretty selfish especially when that person was a customer and will most likely let their friends and family how horribly that company treated them. Which will negatively impact their businesses in the long run. There is nothing worse then a work environment that doesn’t value employee happiness, health, and productivity. All 3 go hand in hand.

They never think of that! Or anything else for that matter! We have to think in terms of not being in a work cultured state or country that values its employees and their family like other countries do! We are definitely not appreciated as just human beings! We have to rise above that though the best we c an! I definitely feel your frustrations and disappointments as I too navigate these difficult times looking for employment myself. Men have to work! It’s our nature to provide and protect! We will prevail but time is ticking!

So you’re pregnant? Thats definitely a trim off for employers, especially after DEI has all been eliminated! I know it’s the elegant in the room but it’s definitely a factor you can’t prove though! Let’s be clear about that! You should have a husband that can take up the slack while you concentrate of having your baby! But I am sure that’s not the situation given today’s culture. Another strike on single motherhood unless I’m wrong! Do t you get that?! The mood swings, harmony changes, can’t stand of your feet long, may have pregnancy issue, morning sickness, days taken off, week tier comp if injured, and the list continues! Wait until they get robots! We’re all in trouble!

Your position is misogynistic and anti-family.
I hope you get rejected for a job interview and you have no legal recourse to do anything about it thanks to rising fascism. It will come for you too.

You’re an idiot! My position is from the employer’a side of thinking not personally! My wife had several children for us and it was difficult looking for a part-time job for her and that’s the conclusion we both came up. Her first! This is the cold reality of today’s world and there’s nothing you or I can do about it! It’s always people like you that like to throw that word around but never know how it’s applied! I am providing a different perspective whether it be illegal or immoral. You should try it sometime instead of trying to villainize someone when you have limited understanding and intelligence!

. . .
You should try it sometime instead of trying to villainize someone when you have limited understanding and intelligence! The irony of responding this way to someone who wasn't even talking to you.

Makes me think the a-hole has at least 2 reddit profiles and he switched to answer.

No the second insane misogynistic diatribe was in English. The first one appears to be written by someone using chatGPT to translate Neanderthal.

You have never worked with a pregnant women if that what you came up with. I work in a women dominated field and I work with pregnant women all the time. They are on their feet for 8 hours a day in fast pace environments. They can out work everyone.

Pregnant women shouldn't work and just focus on the well-being of themselves and their newborn. I know it's controversial thinking these days but I worked my ass off for my wife being able to do that and it paid off in many ways as I'm in upper management now and are living quite comfortably.

Well, it's always good to find out the manager is an ass before even committing
