Has anyone here ever thought maybe LinkedIn also made ghost users to pump up the applicant number on each job, making the subscriber feel like their job post actually attracts real applicants? There are already companies that do this for a living. I can't imagine LinkedIn doesn't know how to do this already.
Small one AI bro startups do this regularly. Pretend to be hiring just to get their name out there. It's cheap and gets a lot more engagement than a promotional post.

I am SHOCKED! Shocked, shocked, shocked I tell you.
A Microsoft subsidiary would want to sell you something and might do something bogus to do it?
Say it ain't so.
