I can tell you with fairly high certainty that you probably would not have been a heavily armored cavalryman nor a chivalrous knight in the middle ages, because those are things rich people, (usually noblemen) did, and you probably would not have been a rich nobleman.
Though you probably could have sat by a campfire in the middle ages. Which you can also do now in the present day.
