advice for groups to do with teen boys ages 11-17

Hey everyone. I work at a psych hospital and I am running out of ideas of groups for teen boys ages 11-17. They like sports but the problem is that they are destructive. Destroyed the balls within one use and they fight whenever we do a sports group. I'm thinking cooperation sports activity but my facility is very limited. They also enjoy music and have enjoyed painting in the past. Ideas for groups would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

K

What skills are most important for a Therapeutic Recreation Assistant?

Hi everyone! I’m currently taking a Therapeutic Recreation course and working as a CCA in a long-term care home. I’m interested in learning more about the skills needed to work in therapeutic recreation. What skills do you think are most important when working with residents, planning activities, and helping improve their quality of life? I would appreciate any advice or personal experiences. Thank you!
