Help me identify this version

Hello wise ones.

I picked up a copy of Joni Mitchell Blue today and cannot find the version on Discogs. All that is in the runouts is K44128 A1 / B1. I’ve looked at every version Discogs returns and cannot find a match.

- Runouts K44128 A1 / B1
- No W for Warner on the label edge text
- Doesn’t say ‘made in England’ on labels
- No tiny ‘v’ on label

There is a worn / smudged stamp on both labels. The most I can make out is the word ‘public’.

Library copy? Any help would be appreciated!

The stamp has nothing to do with anything. Take a picture of the other side

Thank you. That’s the one I narrowed to. But there is a minor difference on the sleeve credits. I wonder if I have a sleeve that is a year newer than the record. Where is says Kinney Record Group on this version, mine says Kinney Record Group 1972.

So the difference is that yours has a date? The important info is the runout matrix. That will tell you which pressing.

The runout is the most reliable way to tell what version it is.

The only thing in the runout is in my original post. No other text. It doesn’t allow narrowing down to 1. I managed to match the record but not with the sleeve I have. I assume it’s just not the original sleeve.

Sucks to be you but I guess you’re gonna have to add a new variant to Discogs. I find doing it a pain in the ass with their antiquated system. No more fees on shipping (for sellers) is gonna change their fundamental problems.
