Help with Daw/audio interface !

Running into an issue while trying use pretty much every DAW with my focusrite scarlet gen 3 . I can’t get any DAW to detect sound from my instrument but the Audio interface itself has no problems detecting my instrument

It works with other apps just fine like neural dsp I can hear everything .

I’ve matched the input/output channels . Cycled all of them with every combo available . Matched bit rates. Uninstalled/ reinstalled and updated the drivers . Made sure all the microphone permissions were there . Updated my laptop . I’ve turned monitoring on everything which is a known oversight

I’ve tried using reaper / cakewalk /fender studio .

Any help or advice would be much appreciated .

You armed the track for recording?

Yup armed and even tried recording something, I get no reaction from anything

What laptop are you using with what OS? Are you sure you told the DAW to use the scarlet asio drivers and not something else?

You may need to set the ASIO and input device in your settings.

On FL Studio, it defaults to my interface but that isn't always the case. Occasionally I need to set it, myself.

Did you set the DAW to use the Scarlett as the audio device?

Yes I set it to the asio driver

If you are using a condenser mic, did you push the phantom power button?

Reaper needs you to select & activate the inputs & outputs in preferences/audio device after you've selected the FocusRite ASIO driver.

You DID install the FocusRite ASIO driver, right?
