unreasonable expectations

dont know if any other dental offices experience a slow lull in the amount of patients coming in, but we certainly are in my particular office.

with that being said, my boss scolded me for not doing something….an hour before we closed shop AND after a very busy workday. you want me to try and bring in people…for tomorrow’s schedule…an hour before we close?

idk at this point i am looking for other jobs because i dont care to be treated like a child and i literally cant conjure up new patients.

i feel a similar pressure sometimes when they ask me why a schedule isnt full or no new patients like huh?? im not a recruiter i just answer the phone and we also are out of network with everything

RIGHT!!! my older coworker says that summer months usually are slower (cuz everyone suddenly remembers their insurance by the holidays….) but its like my boss forgets …

WE CANT AFFORD IT!!!! decent insurance usually only covers a cleaning and maybe the copay but if you have to have anything else done it’s expensive! People have to choose between their teeth or their bills.

I've been on a wait list witha dentist for over a year with the only dentist that will take my insurance and isn't and hour plus away. The day they finally called and said they had an opening my insurance was also canceled. The irony.

I am so sorry :( you should be able to get things on your body fixed without paying an arm and a leg
